PROJECT LOCATION:
AHWAZ, KHOUZESTAN, IRAN
AIM OF PROJECT:
Designing & Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Construction (EPC) for collection of high-SS wastewater (TSS=3,000-10,000 ppm) coming from the material handling department’s dust-collector systems (from different parts of the site), transfer via ductile iron pipelines, treatment (using chemical and physical processes) and recycling of treated water.
The project is located in KHOUZESTAN STEEL COMPANY (KSC), one of the largest steel complexes in IRAN: the first-ranked producer of steel ingots and the second pole of raw steel production in the country.
SCOPE OF PROJECT:
- Chemical-Physical Treatment System (20,400 m³/d)
- Cylindrical Concrete Gravity Thickener (Dia. = 20m) (1,300 m³)
- Ductile Iron Transfer Pipeline (DN150~200) (4 km)
- Coagulation-Flocculation Tanks (3*30 m³)
- Raw Wastewater/Treated Water Storage Tanks (2*240 m³)
- Centrifugal Dewatering System (3360 m3/d)
SUPPLEMENTARY SCOPE:
- LV MCCs, Automation, Control Systems, and Instrumentation
- Concrete Tanks and Hydraulic Structures
- Office Buildings, Sheds, and Landscaping
- Steel Pipe Racks and Concrete Pipe Sleepers
- Pump Stations
SYSTEM PROCESS:
- Wastewater Reuse: Coagulation - Flocculation > Gravity Thickener > Self-Cleaning Filter
- Sludge Processing: Gravity Thickener > Centrifugal Dewatering (Decanter)
